Partnering with families along the academic journey
Empowering students to overcome academic obstacles
The academic experience is complex. Many students have the intellectual ability to succeed, but struggle to maintain motivation, manage competing deadlines, or access appropriate resources. If this is you or your child, academic and executive function coaching can help.
Lauren Hwang Coaching empowers high school, college, and graduate students to flourish academically by offering:
A non-judgmental space to reflect on progress and challenges
Collaboration around adapting approaches to fit individualized needs
Accountability in pursuing short- and long-term goals
Meet Your Coach
I’m Lauren, and I’m excited to partner with you or your student on your academic journey.
As a coach, my ultimate goal is for students to thrive academically. I use a strengths-based approach that merges skill development with self-understanding to enable students to achieve their academic goals.
Coaching is truly a partnership. During my initial meetings with a student, we establish long-term goals aligned with student values. Each session, we review the previous week’s plan, reflect on successes and challenges, and incorporate these observations into a new plan for the upcoming days, all while keeping long-term goals in mind.
I draw on over twelve years of experience as an educator across K-12 and higher education sectors, including eight years with Northeastern University’s Learning Disabilities Program. My training includes a Master’s in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, teaching licensure, and professional development focused on supporting individuals in making meaningful change.
